But the copying trick is kinda tricky unless you have a FAT32 partition.

Had the same problem, too because of my antivirus. You should've deactivated your antivirus in the first place (if that's the problem). But you have no choice. Recover your files (if you find them significant) and then have a fresh installation of Windows XP.</div><br>
