 PhotoTools gives you access to a complete library of effects including image optimization, artistic pro looks and finishing touches. You can stack multiple effects on top of each other, just like stacking filters over the lens on a camera. You preview and control your results full screen so you can see exactly what you are going to get. You can also save a stack of effects so you can apply it in a single click or even share it with a friend.
The all new PhotoTools 1.0 plug-in for Photoshop CS2 and CS3 comes in two editions - Professional and Standard. Both editions are identical with respect to their feature set and functionality. The Standard Edition includes 150 effects developed by onOne Software and Photoshop Hall of Fame member and Photoshop Action Guru, Jack Davis. This base set of effects are designed for all photographers from beginners, to advanced amateurs to professionals.
The Professional Edition of PhotoTools 1.0 expands upon the base set of effects and adds 50 extra effects from Jack Davis and 50 effects from Kevin Kubota, voted one of the Top 10 Wedding Photograhpers in the World by American Photo Magazine. The 100 additional effects found in the Professional Edition are focused primarily on portrait and wedding photography but can be useful for a wide variety of photography as well.
NOTE: We now have a 1.0.3 update available specifically for CS4 users for both Mac and Win.
We have identified the reason for some of the behavior reported, specifically on Windows with the Bridge button behavior and the Arrange Documents behavior. On the Mac this addressed a UI issue where the CS4 UI would not always redraw correctly when applying an effect in PhotoTools.
An important thing to note, for now we have had to remove the onOne menu from CS4 on Windows. The onOne menu is considered a plug-in and has to load as a persistent automation plug-in. Unfortunately CS4 no longer allows for this to happen. We are looking into a way to resolve this. For now you will need to access PhotoTools from the File->Automate menu.
